About Kathryn Rombs

Dr. Rombs was born in Dallas, Texas in 1972. She was raised in Manhattan, and graduated from Wake Forest University in 1994. She went to graduate school in philosophy at Fordham University in New York City. She obtained masters and doctorate degrees, specializing in the philosophy of religion and the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Dr. Rombs has taught philosophy at Fordham University, St. Joseph Seminary College in St. Benedict, Louisiana, and currently at the University of Dallas. She teaches Ethics, Philosophy and the Human Person, Epistemology, and Metaphysics. Every summer, she teaches in the University of Dallas’ Summer Rome Program, leading students through Italy and Greece in a program that emphasizes faith and culture.

In addition to teaching at the University, Dr. Rombs has also home-schooled for most of the past twelve years. Dr. Rombs is the founder of Mighty Is Her Call and Catholic Mothers’ Retreat, which offer retreats and a website providing resources for Catholic mothers. Dr. Rombs and her husband Ron are raising their six beautiful children, ages five to eighteen, normally residing in Irving, Texas. They are spending two years in Italy, where Ron is teaching at the University of Dallas’ Rome Program. They live on a vineyard in Frascati, a small town dating back to the 17th century, outside of Rome.
